In 1838, Georgetown University sold 272 enslaved individuals to plantations in Iberville, Ascension, and Terrebonne Parish. The Georgetown Memory Project is researching what became of those individuals and is tracing their descendants. Come hear an overview of the project and get the latest on the progress of the research.
