Welcome to the Iberville Parish Library’s Acadian Art Show!
We have three categories: Professional, Non-Professional, and Young Artist (13-18)
The majority of art submitted is oil, acrylic, watercolor, and ink but we do accept all mediums. See below for requirements.
Tiny Art Show
This year we have adjusted the age range for the Young Artist category and created a separate program for artist 12 and younger. We are encouraging young artist submit 1 piece of art to display at their local library! The art will be on display at their home branch for a week then we transport the art to our main branch in Plaquemine for a week.
The Tiny Art Show is a non judged show.
While supplies last Tiny Art Show Kits are available to pick up at all library locations.

Rules & Regulations for the Acadian Art Show
The Acadian Art Show is open to residents in Iberville and the adjoining parishes (West Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Pointe Coupee, Ascension and Assumption). We are not responsible for theft or damage of any artwork, although the show will be closely supervised by staff.
ART SUBMISSION: NO entry fees. A limit of two entries per artist. All entries must be original art work.
Submit your artwork at the Iberville Parish Library located at 24605 J Gerald Berret Blvd Plaquemine, LA 70764.
All paintings must be framed or matted and READY TO HANG. Due to space, overly large entries may be denied entry. If you are using non-traditional media, please inquire before entering. We reserve the right to reject any entry.
We will provide entry forms on submission day. Each entry must be labeled on the back with the completed attached form. All entries for sale should indicate price (a 10% commission will be charged for each sale). Professional category is for artists who engage in art work for monetary gain (having taught or sold art). Young artists category is for ages 13 to 18.
RECEPTION & AWARDS: Artwork can be removed after the awards are given out and group photos are taken. Ribbons and awards will be given to Best in Show, as well as First, Second and Third place in each category. Ribbons will be given to Honorable Mentions and Staff Favorite. Judge’s decisions are final. If you’re unable to pick up your art at the reception, please make arrangements to do so.
USAGE RIGHTS: Artists who submit their artwork to the Iberville Parish Library for an art show agree to the following:
usage of that image(s) is limited to any IPL press releases, IPL articles, IPL graphics, IPL slide shows, and for use on the IPL website.
EMAIL SUBSCRIPTION: Artist agrees that by supplying their email on the entry form that they are opting in and will be placed as a Art Show Subscriber and will receive future email announcements and email notices from the Art Show
Committee. If you want to be removed from this Email Subscriber List, please email us at ArtShowCommittee@myipl.org and we will remove you immediately.
