Elayne Kuehler

Elayne is best described as a romantic realist because she is deeply in love with the beauty on this earth. She strives to portray the truthfulness of nature because nature is healing and inspirational, and her colors and designs cannot be improved upon. It is her lessons that Elayne learns from. She works freehanded; her still lifes are painted directly from life without the use of photography. Landscapes are started on location and finished in her studio. Her chosen medium is oil but she loves to work in pencil and enjoy gouache as well. Her goal is to share and communicate my work with others.
You can find Elayne at http://www.ElayneKuehler.com , on Facebook at Elayne Kuehler Fine Art as well as Instagram. She is a Member of the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, an Associate with Distinction Member of American Women Artists, the Portrait Society of America, Oil Painters of America, the Baton Rouge Art League, the International Guild of Realism, the Associated Women in the Arts here in Baton Rouge. She is represented by 600 Julia Street Gallery in New Orleans and will have a one person show there in March of 2022, and show at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Art.
She also teaches oil painting classes in her studio.

Les Ann Kirkland

I am a native & resident of Plaquemine, Louisiana. I enjoy creating art, mostly abstract. About this piece – I bought a fan brush for the first time
& started experimenting with it. I used lots of color & ended by “throwing” a little paint over the surface. I think the image conveys some measure of the fun
I had when creating it.
Artistically speaking, I also enjoy writing, designing & creating jewelry, photography and gardening & flower arranging.
